Service area
Moving is local work. The stairwell of an apartment block, the width of a driveway and whether the van can stop at the door shape the day far more than the number of kilometres driven. This page sets out where the service runs and what is worth knowing about each area before you book.
Where we work
Moves are handled in the following places: Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa. The same service applies to every address in that area, whether you are moving out of an apartment block, a terraced house or a detached house.
Cities
Helsinki
In the older buildings of the inner city you run into narrow stairwells, low door frames and, often enough, no lift at all. A reserved parking space on the street is worth applying for well before moving day, because space at the roadside does not simply appear in Kallio or Punavuori.
Espoo
Moves in Espoo lean towards detached and terraced houses, where the carry from the van to the door can be long and the driveway narrow. In the centres (Tapiola, Leppävaara, Matinkylä) you are back among apartment blocks, inner courtyards and service-access routes.
Vantaa
In Vantaa, apartment districts such as Tikkurila and Myyrmäki alternate with low-rise housing, so how the day runs depends entirely on the address. Driving into a courtyard usually needs the housing company's service-driving permit, or someone on hand to open the barrier.
If your address is outside the area
One end of a move is often somewhere else entirely. If either the origin or the destination falls outside the list above, say so when you get in touch, and include the date and how much there is to move. We will look at it case by case and tell you either way whether we can take the job, before you have committed to anything.
