What data is collected
The quote request and contact forms collect your name, email address and phone number, together with the details of the move itself: the addresses, the date, the size of the home, the services you need and anything you write in the free-text field. Messages you type to the chatbot are processed for the duration of the conversation and only to the extent they relate to your question. Please do not put sensitive information into a form or the chat: health details, identity document numbers or payment card details are never needed to arrange a move. The server also records technical log data, which is used for security and for investigating faults.
What the data is used for
Your data is used to answer your enquiry, to prepare a quote and to carry out a move once one has been agreed. It is also used to prevent abuse of the forms and to keep the site technically sound. It is not used for profiling or automated decision-making, and your contact details are not added to any marketing list without your separate consent.
Legal basis for processing
Processing connected to enquiries and quote requests rests on your consent and on the pre-contractual steps your request requires. Once a move is agreed, the basis is performance of that contract. Keeping invoicing and accounting records rests on a legal obligation, and the processing of technical logs rests on the legitimate interest in keeping the service working and secure.
How long data is kept
Enquiries and quote requests are kept for as long as handling the matter and the validity of the quote require. Records relating to moves that went ahead are kept for the period that accounting and other legislation demands. After that, the data is deleted or altered so that no individual can be identified from it. You can also ask for your data to be deleted sooner, where no statutory obligation requires it to be kept.
Enquiries and quote requests are deleted no later than 12 months after they arrive, unless handling the matter requires keeping them longer.
Sharing and transfers
Form submissions are delivered by email to the company that carries out the move. They are not sold, rented or released for advertising purposes. Technical hosting and email delivery are handled by service providers acting as processors under contract. Data is stored within the EU or the EEA. Information is released to an authority only where the law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data is held about you and to receive a copy of it. You can ask for incorrect data to be corrected, for data to be erased or for processing to be restricted, and you can object to processing. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).
Contact on data protection matters
Requests and questions about data protection can be sent through the site's contact form or to the email address published in the footer. Say in your request what it concerns and which contact details you used previously, so the request can be matched to the right records. Your identity may need to be verified before any data is released.
