Transport when you pack and carry yourself

Not every move needs the full package. When the boxes are sealed and you have enough hands, what is missing is usually a van, a driver and a load that is strapped down properly. The same service works for moving one large piece of furniture from one address to another.

What the transport covers

  • A van of the agreed size and a driver at the agreed time
  • The load strapped down and protected for the journey
  • Transport from the collection address to the delivery address
  • Single large items moved, such as a sofa, a wardrobe or an appliance
  • Help with loading and unloading when agreed in advance

How the transport runs

  1. 1Details: what is being moved, from where to where, and which floors the collection and delivery are on.
  2. 2Time and vehicle: the collection time and the size of van are agreed against how much there is.
  3. 3Collection and drive: the load is strapped and protected before anything leaves.
  4. 4Delivery: the load comes off at the agreed place and the job is signed off.

Good to know

The day runs at its smoothest when everything is packed and the boxes are sealed before the agreed collection time. Check that the van can actually stop at both ends, and find out whether you need a reserved street space or a service-driving permit for the courtyard, since many Finnish housing companies have a barrier or a time limit at the gate. If you are moving one big item, give its measurements and weight in advance: the lift and the stairwell decide whether it goes in at all. Agree who will be there to receive the delivery if you cannot be there yourself.

Not sure what you need?

Tell us where you are moving from and to, roughly when, and how much there is to move. We will go through it with you and say which services are worth including and which you can safely skip.
