Services
Packing and unpacking done for you
Packing takes more time than anything else in a move, and it is the stage where things most often get broken. With a packing service the boxes, protective materials and labelling are handled in one go. You can book packing only, unpacking only, or both.
What the packing service covers
- Moving boxes and packing materials delivered at an agreed time
- Kitchen dishes, glassware and small appliances packed and protected
- Clothes packed and wardrobes emptied
- Separate protection for fragile items, pictures, mirrors and electronics
- Every box labelled by room and by what is inside it
- Boxes unpacked and things put away in the new home to the extent agreed
How the packing runs
- 1Walk-through: you say which rooms are packed for you and what you want to handle yourself.
- 2Materials on site: boxes and protective materials arrive before packing day or on the morning itself.
- 3Packing: rooms are packed one at a time and each box is labelled as it is closed.
- 4Unpacking at the other end: boxes are opened in the agreed rooms and the packing waste is taken away.
Good to know
Pack the things you want to keep with you the whole time yourself: passport and residence permit, medicines, jewellery, keys, chargers, and whatever your children cannot be without for a day. Say in advance if an item is especially valuable, heavy or awkward to dismantle, so the right protection and enough time are reserved for it. Point out the box that has to be opened first in the new home, or mark it clearly yourself. Keep every box light enough for one person to carry up a staircase, which means books go in small boxes and duvets in large ones. Flattened cardboard belongs in the building's cardboard bin (kartonki), never in mixed waste, and a whole move usually produces more than one bin holds, so plan a trip to a recycling point.
Not sure what you need?
Tell us where you are moving from and to, roughly when, and how much there is to move. We will go through it with you and say which services are worth including and which you can safely skip.
